A ZeroBounce alternative, in euros
The same job — is this address real — at a quarter of the price, without the suite around it.
The prices, side by side
ZeroBounce's pay-as-you-go calculator and ListCheckup's packs, at the sizes a typical list actually is. ZeroBounce sells in dollars, ListCheckup in euros; no conversion is applied, and both exclude any applicable tax.
Both services also run a free tier that refills monthly. ZeroBounce's freemium gives 100 validation credits a month and, by its own signup note, asks for a business or premium domain; ListCheckup's free 100 a month takes any mailbox you can confirm, a Gmail address included, with no card.
The answer costs a quarter as much when it is not carrying a suite.
Where the two agree
This page would be easier to write if ZeroBounce mistreated its customers, and it does not. On the two policies that matter most in this market, both services say the same thing:
- Credits never expire — at either service.
- Unknown results are not charged — ZeroBounce credits them back, and ListCheckup returns the credit for any address nobody can settle.
So the honest comparison is not about fairness. It is about what you are buying, and what currency you are buying it in.
What you give up for the price
ZeroBounce is a deliverability suite: inbox placement tests, mailbox warmup, blacklist and DMARC monitoring, an email finder, AI scoring, 18 tools under one login, with a $99 a month subscription that wraps them together and 24/7 support behind it. The price above partly pays for that surrounding machinery, whether or not you use it.
ListCheckup sells the verification and nothing around it: upload a list, see the exact price before anything is spent, get every address answered in plain English, download the clean list and a PDF report you can hand to whoever asked about your bounce rate. If what you need is the check, you should not be paying for the suite.
When ZeroBounce is the better buy
Genuinely, sometimes it is. If you run cold outreach at volume and need warmup and placement testing, or you want blacklist monitoring watching your sending domain around the clock, ZeroBounce bundles all of that and ListCheckup has no equivalent to sell you. Buy the suite if you will use the suite.
If you are a shop or a small team with a list you built yourself, cleaning it before a send a few times a year, the suite is overhead — and the difference between $274 and €55 for the same 25,000 answers is your margin, not theirs.
The European difference
ListCheckup prices in euros — no dollar conversion and no card-currency surprise — and the servers that hold and check your list are in the European Union, with a data processing agreement on request. If your customers are European, your list never has to leave Europe to be cleaned.
Where this leaves you
Same fairness policies, a fraction of the price, verification only — and the free hundred a month needs no card. Create your account and the free hundred is yours today.
